The year is 2007. The Hays brothers, Thom and James and their buddy, Garret Armstrong, are about 13 years old and decide to form a band. Faux Reality, they call it. Now, 10 years later, the guys are celebrating a decade as Faux Reality and they released their second album, “Daybreak’s Lullaby,” on July 29th. The rock-oriented album has a unique sound, with influences from jazz, progressive rock, seventies style music and some Latin influence. “Indie rock with margarita soul,” as Thom describes it. The band has been working on this album for the better part of three to four years.
