“I feel like beauty has a really easy way of interjecting itself,” says local artist Joseph Rincones. “A number of things allow beauty easy entry. Whether it’s food on a plate or a partner, there’s something easygoing about that ideal sense of beauty.” It’s easy to see that there is a lot of depth behind this artist’s thoughts on art, beauty and culture and it’s just as obvious in his work. In his younger years, Rincones did not anticipate that he would end up pursuing art. “Going into high school I had some thoughts about art but I didn’t really take it seriously,” Rincones said. “I didn’t go into high school thinking I wanted to leave there and do art. After I graduated, I did some automotive mechanic stuff.”
